Day 1: Arrive in Muscat
Arriving at Muscat International Airport and transfer to the hotel.
Overnight: Muscat
Day 2: Muscat City Tour (B,L,D)
At 8:00am you will be picked up from the hotel and taken by our guide for a tour of the Grand Mosque. (Women must wear head scarf which covers the hairline and neck and a long sleeve top and trousers which covers the ankles. Men also must dress respectfully wearing long trousers and top). After the mosque our guide will take us to the Sultan’s Palace after which we will walk to Bait al Zubair museum. We then walk along the old walk to Muttrh souq market and back to the hotel around 5:00pm and have dinner our trip leader will give a full briefing about the rest of the trip..

Day 3: Muscat - Nakhal – Bani Awf and camp on Bilad Sait [Walk (1/2 hrs] (B,L,D)
After breakfast we set off from the hotel in 4WD car at 8am and drive north towards Nakhal fort. Built on a large rock to help defend the farms of the plain, the fort is well worth a short stop. We then continue towards the Western Hajar mountains and enter Wadi Bani Awf. Leaving the blacktop road we quickly engage 4-wheel drive as we journey through this picturesque wadi lined with date farms and water pools (numbers vary depending on volume of recent rain). This is a steep and fun off -roading experience and after one hour we reach the pretty village of Bilad Sait where we will make wild camp

Day 4: Bilad Sait / Sharaf Al alameen camp in Sharaf Al Alameen [walk (W8) (6-7hrs)] (B,L,D)
After breakfast we strat Hiking to birkat al sharaf we take the opportunity for a photo stop during the walk. We then continue our wind up to 2000m and get our nice views of the stunning Western Hajar mountain range, while walking along the Birkat Al Sharaf/Sharaf Alamein enjoys unique panoramic views of over 1000 square kilometres of the whole Jabal Akhdar area. Camp near by area.

Day 5: Jebel Shams balcony walk [walk (W6) (4hrs)] (B,L,D)
After breakfast we leave our camp to village of Al Hamra Around 11:00 Am we will make our way towards Jebal Shams, the highest point in Oman at 3000m, where we make balcony walk we follow the balcony trail along the mountain edge to an abandoned village which clings to the rocks completely hidden from view from above and below.
Just beyond the village we can see the traditional farm terracing where locals used to produce their food and a short walk further takes us to the small lake that feeds the terracing. The walk back along the balcony trail offers more breathtaking views of the canyon and we stop to further enjoy the views over a picnic lunch and camp for a night under the stars.

Day 6: Jabal shams– wadi Ghul & Nakhar village to Tanuf (B,L,D)
After breakfast we set off in 4x4’s down the mountain to Wadi Ghul and Nakhr village to view the canyon in reverse – from the bottom up, which is equally as dramatic and stunning, as this journey takes us through more than half a billion years of geological time. Stopping for coffee and dates with the people of Nakhr village we see goat hair carpets being woven and dyed. We then head off to Tanuf makes an ideal resting place for our d night of wild camping.

Day 7: Jebel Akhdar (B,L,D) [(8-9hrs)]
Start 7/8 hrs treck in Jebel Akhdar – abandoned village where we take 8-9 hours Nice view in rim of Jebel Akhdar stop for lunch then to plateau Today sees us rising early and after a hearty breakfast we break camp and start our 7-8hr trek up Oman’s beautiful ‘green mountain. Jebel Akhdar. The initial path is quite steep as we move over smooth rock slabs and quickly gain altitude covering much of the 1400m (from 700m to 2200m) in the first 3-4hrs to enjoy views at 1400m out over the village of Al Far and Wadi Al Qashah. A short detour brings us to an abandoned cliff village where we stop to enjoy our picnic lunch, before setting off for the gentler afternoon hike, aiming to reach camp on Sayq Plateau at 2200m by 4pm, allowing time to relax and to enjoy the sunset before dinner.

Day 8: Nizwa- Wahiba Sands Desert (B,L,D)
After breakfast will drive to Nizwa and we will make a city tour of Nizwa city, the former capital city of Oman. Today, Nizwa is still the largest and most important town in this area of the interior and is noted for its 17th century fort and atmospheric souks full of silversmiths’ art, especially ornately engraved khanjars. After lunch in a local restaurant we make the 3.5hr journey to Wahiba Sands Desert.

Day 9: Wadi Bani Khalid oasis –Sur- Fins beach (B,L,D)
After breakfast we make short journey to Sur and then Wadi Bani Khalid and oasis sitting between mountain cliffs. Once refreshed we move the final gentle stretch to the cars and go on to our camp on soft white Fins beach
Overnight: Fins beach
Day 10: Wadi Shab [30-45 minutes’ walk (B,L,D)]
Relax day: after breakfast visit Wadi Shab enjoy short hike for 45 minutes and then swimming in the pools after lunch walk back to the cars and back to Muscat.
Overnight: Muscat
Day 11: Departure (B)
After breakfast we will accompany you to Muscat International Airport for the departure.
